Description

This English cultivar is named for the Whitbread Beer Company. Whitbread Golding Variety is often abreviated as WGV. It is descended from the Bates Brewer hop variety via open pollination. It is not a true Golding variety but is named for having similar flavors and aromas. Although it is thought to have a generally stronger flavor and some fruity or sweet characteristics.
