Brewing Southern English Brown Ale

Grains Pale base-malt along with generous use of dark crystal malts. Can make use of small amounts of dark roast malts and malted wheat.

Hops Moderate use of UK varieties early in the boil.

Yeast Fruity ester-producing English ale yeast.

Water Moderate to high carbonate levels (hard water).
