Special Roast Malt


This is a barley malt lightly toasted somewhere in color between biscuit malt and light chocolate malt. Special roast malt has intense toasty and biscuit flavors. It is sometimes described as producing a slight drying sensation similar to biscuit malt but more intense. It is also noted for producing tangy sourdough-like flavors.
