Description
This English variety has strong alpha-acid bittering potential. Pilgrim hops also have fruity and spicy flavors with and a slightly lemon-like flavor. They are frequently compared with Target another UK bittering hop variety. Pilgrim hops have notably high concentrations of the essential oil selinine (around 9% of total oils). Selenine is also found in rosemary, celery, bay leaves, and other spices. Pilgrim is the half-sister of the cultivars First Gold and Herald.
